a volunteer writes: Nine-months-old, AVERAGE rated and really cute - youd think it would be enough for someone to save Suny. Apparently, not. Shes lucky to even be alive at all, but shes back on the list, again... A volunteer writes: Suny is a girly girl, only nine months of age, surrendered into our care as her family realized that she needed training after being owned for eight months. She would be friendly to children, wary of strangers and reactive to other dogs and cats but very playful with her masters. I do not know about cats but what I have seen for myself is that Suny will respond to pooches provoking her and appear confident to those who are not. She will softly growl when some stranger (staff or volunteer) approaches abruptly but will abandon herself in the same persons arms after spending just few minutes with him or her. Indeed, Suny and I had a great time together. She is a fantastic lap dog, loves to be kissed and hugged and played with. She likes treats that she takes gently from my hand. She does not play with the leash or mouth her caretaker. She pulls a little on the leash and could be partially house trained as she eliminated the 2 times we went out together. Suny can sit and stay on command. I do not think she can play ball. Her new master will have to teach her the game. Suny is beautiful and has been well cared for. She has a perfect weight, is healthy looking and has the most elegant and well groomed coat. Pretty Sunygirl is at the Manhattan Care Center. She indeed needs training in the hand of a master who will make her feel secure in a world full of people and other dogs and teach her boundaries that will make of her a wonderful pet and companion. https://facebook/photo.php?fbid=708413769171505&set=a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553&type=3&theater
