about 2 days ago... i drove back from colaba to juhu...took me about 3 hours despite using the sea link...total distance about 20 miles...and this was at about 4.30 in the evening...you know i have to admit..and i may ruffle feathers here...but the more i live in mumbai..the more i dont like it...life cant be about spending hours stuck in traffic...aggressive people..aggressive driving...honestly..when i look outside my window..i dont see one happy face..not one smiling face..everyone wants to get somewhere..in a rush...and you know what beats me..is...why didnt they make the sea link once and for all..all the way from nariman point to versova...one small stretch...it helps but not too much...everyone i meet though...loves mumbai..or professes to...when i ask them what..almost always i hear..i love the party scene in mumbai...well...if you have the energy left to..after all the hustle and bustle...hate to say it..i was born in mumbai...but this city is dying...step by step...day by day...and its not just the traffic...but the quality of life...the real estate prices..the super tiny houses...super tiny roads..no footpaths...miles and miles of slums...just the worst of the sub continent weather...humidity that will sap you dry..and the coast line..such a long one..but such a tragedy what we have done to it...the only thing i like about it...is that i once loved it...it gave me energy..and a buzz just living here...grew up in juhu..remember juhu beach full of palm trees...well...we built this city...and then we raped it...
