after intense evaluation, psychiatric rehabilitation, good behavior & time served behind bars. Depending on the harshness of ones crime. Whether If someone is to serve 25+ to LIFE or 2-15.. Do you think a criminal should be Allowed to come out on days like his/her BirthDay or Christmas or Thanksgiving or funerals? only to spend those type of moments w/ family. To lock someone up in a cage for 23 Hours a day is harsh and it will take a toll on the incarcerated after a while. limiting phone calls and visitation & constantly being handcuffed will drive anyone insane. Its obvious why criminals behave in such a manner that they do while serving time behind bars. However, something like this may decrease the dangers and daily struggles both inmates and police officials face on a day by day basis. Peace could be created within the bars and walls of these prisons because inmates would then still have hope and at least have a little something to look forward to while incarcerated. The incarcerated will want to change their behaviors and seek help to better themselves to gain these type of privileges which will have to be earned and approved by whomever is in charge. Of course, if something like this was to be allowed, itd be supervised with armed on duty Federal police personnel, under strict conditions. This could be extremely effective in such a positive way for prisons and the incarcerated, nation wide. Whats your opinion?
