aimg.ca/index.php?m=22&page=16 Application Process for the 2014-1 Cycle Residency Match Pathway (Revised MARCH 25, 2013) Applications to the AIMG Program must be completed and submitted through the AIMG Program online application portal before the application deadline. The application fee and all required supporting documents must be submitted as a single package to the AIMG Program office before the AIMG Program application deadline. Additional documents must be shared with the AIMG Program through the Physician Credentials Registry of Canada (PCRC)/Physician Apply portal by the AIMG Program application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed for eligibility. ALL AIMG PROGRAM DECISIONS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. AIMG Program eligibility criteria and application requirements are not negotiable. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Yahoo email addresses [yahoo and yahoo.ca] are not accepted by the AIMG Program online application system. HOW TO APPLY Step 1. AIMG Program Information Review the AIMG Program website, particularly Eligibility Requirements Supporting Documents Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) Match Process (carms.ca) Step 2. AIMG Program Application Checklist Print the Application Checklist and thoroughly examine the list to familiarize yourself with the AIMG Program document requirements. Step 3. AIMG Program Required Forms Print, carefully review and complete the Required Forms for submission as part of your application. Incomplete, non-current or incorrectly completed forms will not be accepted. Step 4. AIMG Program Document Package Assemble the required forms and supporting documents. Complete all documents as requested. Application packages that contain documents that are not properly completed and/or are missing required information and/or are missing required attachments will be deemed incomplete. Step 5. AIMG Program Online Registration and Online Application Form Complete the AIMG Program online registration to obtain a login and password [new applicants] or login using your existing AIMG Program login and password [re-applicants]. Complete the AIMG Program online application and submit it through the online application portal. You will receive an email from [email protected] confirming receipt of your online application form. Read the email carefully and follow the instructions. Step 6. AIMG Program Application Fee Obtain a Canadian postal money order or bank certified cheque made payable to The University of Calgary in the amount of $300CAN, as your non-refundable application fee. Step 7. AIMG Program Application Package Submission Ensure that all required supporting documents listed on the AIMG Program Application Checklist are in your package. Deliver your application package and fee payment to the AIMG Program office (University of Calgary, Health Sciences Centre, HMRB G06, 3330 Hospital Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 4N1) before the application deadline. Step 8. Share Documents on PCRC/Physician Apply Ensure that all required documents have been granted sharing through the PCRC/Physician Apply to the AIMG Program. Please see physiciansapply.ca for further information about the document sharing process. Documents must be shared by the application deadline. Step 9. Application File Review Your application package will be reviewed by the AIMG Program File Review Committee (FRC) for completeness and demonstration of eligibility requirements as per the Supporting Documents criteria. Failure to meet the exact requirements set out will result in your application being rejected in its entirety. The AIMG Program FRC will determine eligibility to continue in the assessment process. Decisions of this committee are final; no appeals allowed. Step 10. CaRMS Registration Register with CaRMS. Detailed instructions are provided on the CaRMS website (carms.ca)
