all things work together for good. During the Critiacal incident Stress Management seminar, Christ in Action personel were showing clips about their deployment in Salyersville Ky and I was thinking about how I got to be here at this seminar. Well a tornado hit Eastern Ky and that was very devastating.I volunteered to help CAP and the first thing I got to do was help tarp a house and cut some trees which was very important. THEN they send me and a group to clean a field of debris which didnt seem very important at all. Well maybe a cow will step on something sharp or eat some insulation. Well big deal. I have more important things to do. BUT while I was doing this I saw how the Lord had worked protecting some people in some trailers that were close to that field and I got to tell others so that was kind of good I guess. While we were cleaning the field a church brought us some food and said they were cooking a few miles away. When we went there I saw they were allowoing volunteers to come and stay. When CAP left I went over there and stayed one night to work with the Mennonites. The Mennonites didnt show up and I went to Salyersville to see what the city needed. they sent me to a house where some people were repaing a roof. They didnt really need me so that was a bummer. So now I have worked in a field doing some unimportant stuff, I have stayed overnigh waiting some Mennonites that didnt show and now Im standing around while some professionals are replacing a tin roof. Talk about a waste in a few days of my life. While I standing around doing nothing, I see a guy runnning a skid steerer and he is with some people in red shirts that are cleaning up another field. I talk to him, he is with CIA and he gives me his card. In a few days I work with them. Later I work with them some more in OK and CO and now Im in VA taking a class that may help me help someone who knows where. So if I had not worked in that field picking up some trash, I wouldnt have seen how the Lord worked in those trailers that got destroyed. I would not have worked with CIA in OK and CO and I would not be in VA now. Everything we do is very important. that is why we should do everything as if we are doing it unto the Lord.
