always an answer ! age makes us men a little wiser ......but only a little .......we dont ask directions .....my wife and I once had to travel from a conference in Sandton to Hazyview to spend the night with family , 3 hours later I stopped for instructions which I ignored and we ended up spending the night in a hotel ....where the bed cost more than a weekend in Mauritius . So in Tanzania, standing on the lip on Ngorongoro Crater , a volcano that imploded and is now far below the level of the surrounding land .....the black dots about the size of match heads at the bottom of the crater ...are elephant ....and the crater full of wildlife is has an area of 400km2 ..an amazing place . So through the guide I meet this teenage Masai lad (warrior ) at the top of the crater and he asks me through the guide where am I from ......I say SA , never heard of it , I say Bafana Bafana , never heard of it .....I say Madiba . not sure , no never heard of him ....and he asks me How many days walk ?.....and I really dont know what to say ......I mean we guess all the time ...its just not in most of us to say we dont know ( men that is ) .....but hell I cant even give him an educated guess ......so I just say too many fences ......and he gets it .
