and here`s the Ski Pad / Ski Sheet evacuation method for Non Ambulatory persons in the home :) .... dont forget my advice regards the doors, Fire Doors play a crucial role in restricting the spread of Fire and Smoke and achieving what we call Compartmentation, e.g, separating one box area of a building from another, if a door is to work effectively, in its normal role the door leaf must be free to move within the frame and in order to achieve this, there must be a gap around the perimeter but if the gap is too wide, it may compromise the doors ability to restrict the spread of Fire and Smoke, those gaps should be no more than 3mm preferably with a tolerance of +/- 1mm, I have a tool for checking this once the doors are fully fitted, remember to tell the builder I will be checking for intumescent pads behind the hinges, no pads behind the hinge and you are allowing a break that Fire/Smoke could pass through?? & hinges must be certified to perform to a minimum 800°C, I will expect to see a non removable stamp on the top rail of the door stating FD30S, he`ll know what I mean by that :)
