and so...its the beginning of a new year and somehow it has become a family tradition that at the beginning of each year, we talk to our kids about staying safe and also have the Birds & Bees talk. This is a great video (I posted it last year, too), for those of you with small children. For the Birds & Bees talk, weve found this book series to be really helpful in our conversations: robieharris/?page_id=215 (copy and paste the link) - she seems to have some new books out since I last checked her website. We have chosen to read the books to our kids, because it gives us more control over certain pages that we might feel they arent ready for until certain ages.
