anonymous I have a rant. I am a mother of a beautiful baby girl and a step mom of two more girls, so I have seen both sides of the courts. I have been with her father since before we found out we were having a baby. I have watched him go back and forth with the mother of his kids, fighting tooth and nail. So when my daughter was a year old, I received a letter in the mail that I need to start a case for child support. I ignored it, since I was with the father and he was already supporting us. Within 6 months, my daughters and my state insurance and food stamps were shut off. Food stamps didnt bother me but no insurance for my daughter sucked. I fought and they turn the insurance for us back on but, kept getting notices from the courts to go after him. Well when my daughter was almost 2, I got injured and put on disability, my insurance was shut off. Call human services and was told that if I dont go after him, I cant get insurance, and I need surgery. After calling Child Support, I was told to start a case and after they started collecting money to go back and change the support order, then if I do that, I can get insurance. So in order to get help, I have screw over my now husband. I had to postpone my needed surgery a year when I got government insurance, that one surgery that could fix everything is turning into four+ surgery. I guess women with a conscience and knows what the right thing to do for the child is gets screwed over. The state us forcing me to screw my husband to get paid. Am I the only one that sees a problem with that?
