anthony weiner said that NYC is the most tolerant city in the country when it comes to race and religion? doesnt staten island hold the record for most hate crimes per square mile or thousand people in the nation? and i dont care what anyone says its also one of the most segregated cities in America. everyone one lives in their own neighborhood with their own kind with a couple of outsiders here and there. harlem belongs to the blacks. spanish harlem and washington heights thats hispanics, Dominicans Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, pretty much anyone from latin america. flushing and china town, all asian. bensonhurst, one of the few remaining republican strong holds in the city is mostly white. once upon a time, all italian but they started moving to jersey. flushing 30+ years ago was black and italians. little italy, right next to china town, mostly italians. all the jewish neighborhoods in the city. NYC is home to the largest population of Jews outside of isreal. two things about that, yes, Jews stay in their community because they have to be within walking distance of a synagogue, and usually there arent churches in that area for non jews to move to. hell, washington heights used to be a Jewish neighborhood which is why yeshiva is there. hell, ron perlman, jacob javits and a bunch of other people went to G-Dubs, they are all jewish becuase about thirty years ago, dominicans moved to washington heights and the jews moved out. every race, and religion have their own neighborhoods where outsiders usually dont move to and can be with their own kind. to say NYC is the most tolerant city in america is bullshit
