#autism / Even when laws arent passed, sometimes people come forward and do the right thing. Thanks to Autism Votes for continuing to make headway on this very important issue. Two years ago Michigan enacted #autisminsurance reform. Now 60 self-insured companies, including the Big Three automakers, have all VOLUNTARILY offered coverage to their employees. Because their health plans are regulated under federal law, they had been exempt from the state law, but they chose to do the right thing.
