beamsbibles Talk With GOD! ‘Among Them That Call Upon HIS Name’ 26th Day Psalm 99:6, ‘Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel Among Them That Call Upon His Name; they called upon the LORD, and HE answered them.’ Today we read Psalms 98-100 (also I read verses 1-24 in Psalm 119 yesterday and verses 25-50 today). The verse that ‘caught my attention’ this morning is Psalm 99:6. The context here is that the Psalmist is pointing out those who ‘called upon the LORD, and HE answered them’. Do you ‘call upon the LORD’ and does HE answer you? Notice those the Inspired Writer singles out several people by name... Moses Prayed for GOD to send someone to go with him in Exodus 4:13 and GOD answered in Exodus 4:14-17 by telling him HE would send Aaron his brother. Aaron who is now appointed the High Priest by GOD, Prays in Numbers 6:24-26 that GOD Bless the people. GOD answers that Prayer in Numbers 6:27. Samuel in 1st Samuel 12:23 tells the people he will not cease to Pray for them. When we read the entire context of the 1st and 2nd Samuel we find that his Prayers resulted in the defeat of the Philistines and GOD’s intercession for the Nation of Israel. When we have free ‘Church service times’ in our Ministry, we visit Churches where I have met the Pastors before, but often only once; I have an advantage because I am traveling to meet them again intentionally, but when I enter their Church, most know they I have met me, but cannot remember my name. I am thankful that they remember meeting me and I understand it is difficult to remember names when both of us meet many, many different people in the Ministry. However, I am more thankful that My GOD remembers my name. While GOD knows each and every Christian on earth by name; I believe there is a special relationship between the Christian who Prays often and GOD in Heaven Who Answers Prayers! Such are the men GOD mentions by name in our verse! Do you fit this category? Are you a ‘frequent Prayer Warrior’? My wife often asks the Pastors and their wives of Churches where I Preach, ‘is there anything special I can Pray about for you’?
