Baldwin covers the omission of ancestral history in black upbringing, societal power structures, the importance of racial language, colourism, integration, non-POC allies/liberals in the equality movement, nuances in experience i.e. intersectionality - I mean it’s like forty years later and we’re still debating this shit.
