been avoiding films released after the deaths of National treasures Philip Seymour Hoffman and James Gandolfini - too sad - but holed up in a Motel 6 in Sante Fe I watched ENOUGH SAID, James second to last film, sweet and sad love story - and tonight forced myself to watch Philips last film GODS POCKET a ghastly look at the underbelly of the poorest workingclass neighborhood with Philip looking decidedly too fat to run a few blocks as he did in the film - a certain flatness to the performance, maybe heroins fault. Felt that same twinge when viewing Heath Ledgers last film, seeing him at his best in a beautifully made flight of fancy called THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR PARNASSUS.
