This likeable team from Lisbon is in a deep crisis. There are salaries not paid at least since December and obviously many players left the club. The situation is very bad for instance yesterday the training session was cancelled after a discussion between the players and the president. There are only 14 players in the team at the moment but two of them are still waiting the certificate to can play tomorrow. Their pre season friendlies speaks for himself 6 games, 1 draw, 5 losses .... 0 goals scored and 15 conceded. Aves was near of promotion last season and in other way they are a serious club they pay in time so it was easy for them to maintain basically the same team of the last season and add two or three names of quality at this level like Joao Coimbra or Chula. I didnt see them playing this year but from what I read in the newspapers they are in good shape and in last friendly before the official start of the season they beat Maritimo from the first division.
