beyond frustrated right now! Just got back from the rheumatoid specialist visit - oh except we didnt get to see the doctor! After some time waiting I stepped to the window where the receptionist is and asked how much longer. Our appt. was at 3pm it was now 3:25 and there was still another person in the waiting room that was there before us. She rudely replied she didnt know. I informed her that we needed to be out of there by 4pm because Emily started a new job this week and she has to be there at 4:30 (plus its snowing and slick!). So she finally gets off her butt and goes and asks the nurse, who replied cant do it. I tell her we need to reschedule and she says the next available appt. is January! REally!! we arent a first time patient here*we had to wait 6 months to get the first time patient appt!) and Im getting annoyed! So fine, schedule us, but I want the nurse to call and tell us what the last blood tests showed - since thats basically why we are there anyway. I also tell her I need a note for her for school and she has to get that from the nurse. As shes gone for the note I start thinking and ask upon her return if I had gone back to see the doctor and he wanted to see me back in 2 weeks, would I not be able to get an appt in 2 weeks. her: he never schedules anyone for 2 weeks out. Me: okay, perhaps its four weeks, what then? Her: well, we HAVE to overbook so if someone cancels we still have appts. ME: What!?! I just walked away at that point with the next appt. Jan. 7, 2015 and maybe a nurse calling me with lab results from a month ago! I dont care who you are, nobody is that special that they can treat patients like that! I took time off work, took Emily out of school early and showed up on time (even a little early) and you cant reschedule me any sooner than January!! So basically you have to HOPE that all the other patients scheduled at your time are flakes, otherwise your SOL! And Im sorry, you and your staff are rude and inconsiderate! doctors motto: We know you came expecting to see us but we have overbooked and now you must waist your time waiting for us - my time is valuable too!!! Sorry, done venting now!
