by Marcos C. Thaler May we be entering into the final phase of Daniel 11 verses 40-45, when the King of the South (Radical Islam) pushes against the King of the North (The Papacy)? The current events certainly seem to be speaking such prophetic language. Some have considered this prophecy too literal and Middle-East focused. Not so. Yes, it does have a literal element to it, but it is not literalistic like Middle-East focused prophecy, as seen prominent throughout Dispensational teaching. The conflict is still spiritual, but even a spiritual conflict has a literal element to it. We are seeing two ideologies colliding for the mastery of the world. Radical Islam and Papal-led Christianity. This is global. Yet, it has a literal element to it in the sense that the heart of Radical Islam is indeed in the Middle East, and the rise of ISIS is causing a global stir, for which the Papacy for the first time has become vocal concerning the necessity of putting a stop to the terror. Pastor Tim Roosenberg along with other prophecy teachers for a while now have convincingly demonstrated that the King of the South is Radical Islam, and have shown how the scriptures predict a major push against Christianity, namely Catholic Christianity, as shown in Daniel 11:40.
