can anyone remember these times. one day when I was out a job to seek, at last I found an easy job two and six a week, the farmer said I think I have the easy job for you, your duties are for all this is all you have to do, rise a three every morn, milk the cow by hand you try, feed the pigs clean the sty, teach the pigeons how to fly, plough the fields mow the grass, teach the cock and hens to lay, sow the seed tend the crop, chase the flies from the turnip tops, clean the knives black the shoes, help the wife to wash the pots, grow the cabbages and carrots, make the bed fetch the coal and tune in the gramophone, I scratched my head & thought it would be absolutely fine, the farmer said of course you will have to do some overtime, I think the duties given you!ll quickly do, so I!ve been thinking of a few skim the milk make the cheese, chop the meat for the sausages, use your arms to scare the crows and in the milk put the chalk, shave the nobs from the pickled pork, shoe the horse break the coal, take the dog for a midnight stroll, cook the food scrub the stairs, teach the parrot to say his prayers, roast the joint bake the bread, shake the feathers in the bed, I thought it was a shame to take his money and so I wrote down my duties in case I forgot, it took all night to write this down I did!t go to bed, but time I got all hyped up and this is how it read, rise at three every morn milk the pigs and clean the cow, bathe the wife every day, teach the nanny goat to lay, shave the cat roast the cheese, scrub the horse break the pots, roast the cook dust the bread, put the cock and hens to bed, stew the kids peel the carrots, boots and shoes clean with chalk, cut the hairs from the pork, all the rest I!ve now forgot somehow it had lots of flaws, but guess what this morn I got the SACK.
