catching tax evaders The federal bureau of revenue admittedly has almost incontrovertible evidence of large tax evasion by about 50000 persons .proceeding under the law will determine the proven extent of guilt and attract penalties .However,for reasons unknown the FBR is shy of initiating the legal process ,Which amounts to protecting the tax tax thieves .This is a crime in itself.The chief justice has won the hearts of the people by taking ,many a time suo motu notice of criminal negligence and collusion with state criminals .There cannot be a more fit case for action than this one .The FBR should be made to start taking up cases of the top 10 percent suspected of tax evasion and decide these within a few months.
