cdc.gov/flu/about/disease/us_flu-related_deaths.htm It is estimated that in the United States, each year on average 5% to 20% of the population gets the flu and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from seasonal flu-related complications. In 2010, 1.1 million people in the United States were hospitalized with pneumonia, and about 50,000 people died from the disease. Globally, pneumonia kills more than 1 million children younger than 5 years of age each year. According to the World Health Organization, there have been about 1,200 deaths since the virus was identified in 1976 until their report in 2008. That works out to about 37.5 deaths per year. Maybe we need to stop worrying about ebola so much and focus more on ISIS, the border, the economy, the fed and all the other very important things ebola has been distracting us from, maybe that is being done on purpose?
