chelsea scoring six, arsenal coming from behind, city not too european and liverpool left with no answers.. english football has been the front and back pages of the medias for decades. but why england is paining to compete with european giants in the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona?? we take a look first of all at their respective national leagues.. English Premier League.. surely followed by millions of people around the globe! united, chelsea, liverpool, city, arsenal, everton & spurs.. normally the fantastic seven which will give u a hard game where you will need all your top players fit n giving their best to snatch a win whether its a home or an away game.. but r u sure to get all three points against west brom? or even against a sunderland side who conceded eight goals last week? playing a weaker side against moderate teams in epl or taking them as granted has been very crucial in the title race down the years. not too far, liverpool lost 2 precious points last season in the closing games against crystal palace which helped city ending top of the table.. at that time in spain, real madrid would have won the title playing against a similar spanish crystal palace! the first factor of english team not able to match galacticos in european competitions is because the tired legs that their best players have to bear week in, week out which is definitely not the case in other leagues around europe.. this leads to a second factor which is somewhat connected to the first one! the players in & out of the transfer market.. a car used every day for 10 years driving frm morning to night will not b the same compared to the same car used every day for 10 years but which covered only 1 hour a day! lets try to imagine messi, ronaldo or robben playing in england.. out of the three, only messi never played for an english side, but ronaldo and robben did.. though ronaldo was the best player in the world during the last couple of years at united, both ronaldo and robben had no stats equal to what they currently hold in spain & germany.. bale, modric, ronaldo, suarez.. all of them left england.. in the transfer speculations, ull always hear all sorts of players being linked to english giants.. but do they really move to england? out of 6 recruits who joined united this season, 2 big names did.. but if u dig out y they made the move, ull b surprised to know that di maria feared losing his place at real with kroos joining them n isco showing maturity.. falcao was never going to adapt in france n he was not in the transfer wish list of galacticos frm germany & spain. liverpool lost suarez & to b honest they were not able to convince a star player to match his absence. only chelsea was able to bring costa n that too frm a team who won the title last season but is surely not of barcelona or real madrids calibre.. so, most of europes star players prefer to play outside england so they can keep the car in good condition rather than keep on having their fuel down to empty every weeks.. only players who r attached to their team, giggsy & gerrard tend to keep their legs running in the premier league or only those who r offered sultans paycheque will settle in england.. to summarise, the english premier league is on its own a champions league! sm people might b against me in regards to this, but if u have a gud sense of analysis, u wont.. ;-)
