communique.uccs.edu/?p=12804 Website ranks UCCS computer science a top graduate program November 14, 2013 Posted by Tom Hutton New Jersey-based GraduatePrograms.Com recently ranked the graduate program in computer science at UCCS as one of the nation’s best. In its first-ever rankings, GraduatePrograms.Com rated the UCCS computer science program in the College of Engineering and Applied Science as second in the nation, giving the program 9.3 stars out of a possible 10. GraduatePrograms reaches current and recent graduate students through scholarship entries as well as social media platforms, assigning 15 ranking categories to each graduate program at each graduate school. Rankings cover a variety of student topics, such as academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid, and quality of network. A 10 star system (with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the best) is used, as well as verbatim student comments. The ranking is based on data s compiled between Sept. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2013 including reviews posted by more than 40,000 students participating in more 1,300 graduate programs nationwide.
