couldnt sleep , so i thought i would load some detail pics and sd 60 pictures , the red sd60 is a customers that he is currently building from a kit, i been so busy with the f units i thought i would put up some pics of the sd60 , and some detail pics, the blue emd is my own that i run on 36 volt , all our sd60 locomotives had tool and dies made to form the bodys correctly, look close and you can see the radius in the corners and top of the hoods and roof panels , done to prototype size, the hood even tapers down 2 degrees toward the front , no sharp bends , working air brakes like the prototype , steel investment bearing blocks with very small letters , scale size window gaskets , all exterior bolts on grab irons and pilots and stainless miniature hex bolts , like the steam engine guys use, no Phillip head or oversized allen head bolts , powered by a 13 hp electric motor running a complete hydraulic system , fantastic run time with power to pull a tremendous amount of cars , main frames are I beamed and build like the prototype also , the weight of the engine in 36 volt mode is 1320 pounds , also has electric auxilary brakes and a hydraulic parking brake with emergency stop , these as our f7 is available in kits and also ready to run , all detail parts in pics are standard on all kits and rtr , from glad hands , glass windows , nathan investment cast horn , so forth , , one of the few options is sound system , i guess i was board , this got a little winded , also the doctor thinks i can start back working on ready to run locos by the end of the month , i currently have some blood clots and breathing issues , they got me on a new ensign that seems to be making things better , thanks tunetrains
