ctualización de estado De Mayra A. Johnson Depratt CUBA PROGRAM Cuba_Category_Page.gif 90 miles. It’s the distance between mainland America and the island nation of Cuba, but for over half a century more than just water has divided the two countries. Our educational programs in Cuba bridge the many degrees of separation that have distanced these two nations and their people. Santa Fe Photographic Workshops is authorized by the United States Treasury Department to operate people-to-people educational exchanges in Cuba. Developed to offer you opportunities to create shared exchanges that foster dialogue, interaction and understanding, our programs focus on celebrating and embracing our similarities, while looking at what our societies can learn from each other. Cuba provides not just another travel experience, but an opportunity to become richer in thought and spirit. With your camera as your passport, discover Cuba and engage with its welcoming people on our licensed educational exchanges. On July 1, 2013, the United States Treasury Department renewed the people-to-people license for Santa Fe Photographic Workshops! We are currently accepting reservations, without deposits, for our upcoming programs in Cuba. Preliminary reservations will hold your place in a program and can be made by filling out the application form (PDF) using Adobe Acrobat Reader (or Pro) and submitting it to us via email or fax. In early August, travelers with reservations will be contacted and confirmed with a $1000 deposit per person. At that time, travelers will also need to purchase travel insurance, complete additional paperwork, and provide a copy of his/her valid passport. True to the requirements of a people-to-people license with U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control, our programs in Cuba focus on educational exchanges that provide meaningful interactions between our travelers and individuals in Cuba while recording their amazing lives with our cameras. There will not be structured photo instruction or group critiques.
