damn! I wonder if I will get another assignment... after talking with several folks.... someone want to get rid of the EFF program. I was told it was a privilege.... every village with fire crews depends on firefighting for their income.... so sad to see and hear from so many. I only got 5 days all summer in Alaska and now not sure about getting another assignments down south, Us EFFs and ADs are on own..... Dont have an answer yet about who is calling all the shots, but sounds like the union runs the show... but they got to remember they are working for the Alaska State Forestry/ DNR, they represent the State of Alaska, the state of Alaska can be challenged.... the union? well? we shall see! We could make a super big issue out of this, the ACLU is the next step if things dont change. It is really up to the Alaska State Forestry and the Union if they should keep hiring EFFs and ADs.. KTVA wanted to follow my page, I refused their offer.... not yet I dont need the media right now, but pretty sure I might need a lawyer.... LOL! its not funny but I had to laugh! What really pissed me off is a comment made from one of our McGrath Techs about me, my age and that I m a trouble maker.... I have never done anything to start trouble when I m on a fire assignment! Every Eval I ever had has ALWAYS been OUTSTANDING! What is going on in McGrath is a representation of the union and DNR. We have 9 villages working out of McGrath, they depend on firefighting to make it through the winter,none of the single resource EFF are on assignment, they are calling me???? that is not how it works, I just like to see things done fair and equal. I should not be getting calls from village EFFs about getting an assignment. That should be taken care of from our area office.....
