darcydival Hey Out There and Happy Tuesday To All!!!! My keeping up with time has gotten so out of hand, it just comes and goes so very quickly!!! Everyone having a wonderful day? Me too, its a choice you know?!!!! Does your past keep trying to bring you down? Start new today and say goodbye to that old past that weighs you down!!! There isnt anything you can do about it anyway. Today is a new day, so choose to look ahead, not behind!!! God really can give you a new beginning starting today!!! Simply ask God for his help, hes always right there waiting!!! Of course, like most of you I have Thanksgiving on my mind this month, so my goal is to make your life easier through this holiday season. We are going to learn to use our slow cookers/crockpots and make several dishes for the big day of Thanksgiving! Here is a basic stuffing made right in your slow cooker/crockpot, doesnt that sound fabulous? Dont forget, you can add your favorites to it like; herbs, cranberries, pecans, walnuts, cooked sausage or whatever might appeal to your taste buds!! This will be a huge time saver for you! Let me know how things turn out for you. Ok, Time To Go Have Some Fun In The Kitchen, But Make It Quick, Because Youve Got Some Life To Live!!! Darcy Diva Slow It Down Slow Cooker Stuffing Ingredients: 2 Tbsp. olive or canola oil 1/4 cup butter 2 onions, chopped 6 celery stalks, chopped 4 garlic cloves, crushed 12 cups (about 2 large loaves) crusty white bread, cubed or torn into chunks 1 Tbsp. sage (or to taste) 1 tsp. thyme (or to taste) 1/2 tsp. each salt and pepper (I use Greek Seasoning) 2 eggs, beaten 2 cups (ish) chicken or vegetable stock Directions: In a large skillet, heat the oil and butter over medium-high heat and saute the onion and celery for about 5 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and cook for another minute or two. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, onion and celery, spices, salt and pepper; add the eggs and enough broth to moisten. Spoon the mixture into a slow cooker; cover and cook on high for 45 minutes, then turn the heat down to low and cook for 4 to 8 hours. Thought For The Day: “When the past calls, let it go to voicemail, believe me, it has nothing new to say.” - Unknown
