day 4 of rabbit watch. Indeed the second rabbit gave birth to 6 more . But as she was the one looking after the first litter - she ousted 4 from the nest. just fecked them out no probs. Found them in the hutch dead except for one. i had him in my hands trying to feed him manually with milk the vet gave me and warm him up with a lamp for two hours, but I was too late - he literally had a heart attack in my hands. Quite traumatic for the big man. ( thats me not the rabbit ). Just hope nopw that the rest are weaned without incident. This nature business is both fascinating and ruthless at the same time.
