daystar-publications The TRUTH about Death, including the “SECOND” Death! Let’s start with these questions: What is TRUTH? Where can we FIND TRUTH? How TRUTH is made known to us? Jesus said, “I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: NO MAN cometh unto the Father, BUT BY ME” (John 14:6), so Jesus “IS TRUTH.” Jesus also said to his Father, “…THY Word is TRUTH” (John 17:17), so the Word of God “IS TRUTH,” which is also “…QUICK [to make alive], and POWERFUL [active]” (Hebrews 4:12). God said His Word will not return unto Him “…VOID” (Isaiah 55:11). And the apostle Peter confessed to Jesus… “…to WHOM shall we go? Thou hast the WORDS of eternal life. And we BELIEVE and are SURE that thou art THAT CHRIST, the Son of the LIVING God” (John 6:68-69). Very FEW believe this today! TRUTH is “made known” to TRUE Christians. TRUTH IS NOT “LEARNED” in some “school” or under some persons tutorage, because our Lord said, “…ye NEED NOT THAT ANY MAN TEACH YOU” (1 John 2:27), but we are “…ALL TAUGHT OF GOD” (John 6:45) THROUGH the Spirit of TRUTH, which abides permanently in EVERY child of God! And, “…if any man HAVE NOT the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE OF HIS” (Romans 8:9). DEATH makes its “Grand Entrance” into the world for the FIRST TIME, escorted in by “SIN!” The first mention of “death” in the scriptures is in the Garden of Eden, when God commanded the man concerning the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, saying “…THOU SHALT NOT EAT OF IT: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt SURELY DIE” (Genesis 2:17). But “…that OLD SERPENT, called the Devil, and Satan, which DECEIVETH the whole world” (Rev. 12:9 & 20:2), thundered back and said to the woman, “Ye shall not surely die” (Genesis 3:4), therefore, calling God a LIAR, and the woman SAID NOTHING in God’s defense! The man BELIEVED the Devil, being persuaded by his wife, and “…by ONE MAN [Adam] SIN [which is transgression; disobedience to God] ENTERED into the world, and DEATH by sin; and so DEATH passed upon ALL MEN, for that ALL HAVE SINNED” (Romans 5:12). To this day, the vast majority of mankind still believes Satan’s lies over Gods TRUTH! Therefore, DEATH is the CONSEQUENCE for “SIN” [DISOBEDIENCE to God]! “For as by ONE MAN’S disobedience MANY WERE MADE SINNERS, so by the obedience of ONE [Jesus, the Son of God] SHALL MANY [but only if they receive him by faith…] be MADE RIGHTEOUS” (Romans 5:19). Every single “SIN” committed brings forth “DEATH!” Since we are all GUILTY of sin, it is necessary for us to understand HOW WE COMMIT sin in the first place. “…EVERY MAN is tempted, when he [or she] is DRAWN AWAY [dragged forth; enticed] of his own LUST [a longing for what is forbidden], and ENTICED [entrapped]” (James 1:14). The best example of how we are ENTICED is with Eve, when she “…SAW that the tree was GOOD for food, and that it was PLEASANT to the eyes, and a tree TO BE DESIRED to make one wise” (Genesis 3:6). We are ALL “enticed” the same way. “Then when LUST hath CONCEIVED [when it has completed its mission, and captured us…], it BRINGETH FORTH SIN [we give in and disobey]: and sin, when it is FINISHED [that is, run the course of our lifetime], BRINGETH FORTH DEATH” (James 1:15), “for the WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH” (Romans 6:23). We know that “…it is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE [and in spite of the “movies” and the so-called “eye witness accounts” from both young and old, there is NO COMING BACK from the dead to give the world PROOF], but after this the JUDGMENT [as to whether we go to Paradise with Christ, or Hell, the temporary “holding cell,” because of our unbelief]” (Hebrews 9:27). Adam was guilty, but only AFTER God commanded him, and he disobeyed! But if God HAD NOT commanded him about the tree, Adam would have been BLAMELESS had he eaten of it. Why? Because “…where NO LAW IS [the Word of God], there is NO TRANSGRESSION” (Romans 4:15), that is, SIN CANNOT CONDEMN a man “…when there is NO LAW” (Romans 5:13). But now, ALL HUMANITY are without excuse, because, “…HAVE WE NOT HEARD [the gospel]? Yes verily, their SOUND went into ALL the earth, and their WORDS unto the ENDS of the world” (Romans 10:18). These are the TRUE, and the ORIGINAL “missionaries!” Want more proof? Christ, which came into the world to save sinners, is “…the TRUE LIGHT, which lighteth EVERY [SINGLE] MAN that cometh into the world” (John 1:9), and this GOSPEL “…was PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE which is under heaven” (Col. 1:23). Jesus, the Son of the living God, took a body of flesh, “…that THROUGH DEATH he might DESTROY HIM that had the POWER OF DEATH, that is, the Devil [and HE DID! Satan is as good as dead]; and DELIVER THEM [all mankind] who through fear of death were ALL THEIR LIFETIME subject to bondage” (Hebrews 2:14-15). All MAN needs to do is receive THE GIFT OF GOD, which ...is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23). Moses warned the Jews, “…BE SURE your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23), and “SIN” is disobedience to God! God warns the rest of us too: “…he that SINNETH against me WRONGETH HIS OWN SOUL: all they that HATE ME LOVE DEATH” (Proverbs 8:36). But if you LOVE God instead, then you will OBEY Him, that is, “…KEEP my commandments” (John 14:15). We are to teach our children to OBEY too: “Train up a child in “THE WAY” he should go [and Jesus said, I am THE WAY - John 14:6]: and when he is OLD [maturity; aged man], he WILL NOT DEPART from it” (Proverbs 22:6). From the beginning, children have been instructed to “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy DAYS MAY BE LONG” (Exodus 20:12), and “Children, OBEY your parents in ALL THINGS” (Col. 3:20; Ephes. 6:1), “that it may be WELL with thee, and thou mayest LIVE LONG on the earth” (Ephes. 6:2). DISOBEDIENCE will SHORTEN the life of a child! If you are not ONE OF THEM that has “…HUMBLED HIMSELF as a little child” and REPENTED before God, then, on the day of your DEATH, you will descend into the lower parts of Hell, and temporary holding place until the judgment. At the judgment, when the BOOKS ARE OPENED, you will be shown WHY you are there, “…according to your works” (Rev. 20:12), and YOUR NAME will be blotted out of the Book of Life, and will not be there. You will observe as DEATH and HELL [your previous jail cell] is “…CAST into the Lake of Fire. THIS [the lake of fire] is the SECOND DEATH.” “And WHOSOEVER [because God does not play “favorites”] was NOT FOUND WRITTEN in the Book of Life was CAST INTO the Lake of Fire” (Rev. 20:14-15), again, known as, the second death.
