dear dragons, update on the meeting held on 5th april is as follows: a) total riders confirmed - 16, pillion riders - 03, support crew - 03, Bhutan broadcasting service - 03.....total participants as of now = 25 b) dcm and bolero confirmed c) for the ride = non-members fees - Nu. 5,000, Members - Nu. 1,000, Initiates - Nu, 6000 membership fee (nationals), $ 200 membership fee (non-nationals) d) hotels, community halls, rooming list (twin basis) and meals confirmed (simple pack lunch will be provided during the ride) e) rooms to be paid directly by members on sharing basis....full payment for single rooms f) patches are ready and will be distributed during the next meeting g) khaling blind school goods have arrived (courtesy cool rider) h) payment for Mongar school kids have been sent in advance for shopping of goods (courtesy kelly palmer) i) merak charity goods shopping to be done by the phuntsholing chapter n delivered to thimphu (all other sponsors) j) 500 pairs of shoes confirmed by dawa k) 3000 condoms delivered by condom man for distribution during the course of the ride l) clothes, books and other items ready for the charity m) all to bring along their own sleeping bags and mats n) rucksack recommended while carrying personal gear to merak (1-2 hours walk from the last road point to merak) o) horses confirmed for carrying charity load, ration and other supplies to merak.....no riding horses will be provided:)) p) walking shoes recommended for the walk (biking boots might pose a problem for some:) q) pls. bring along bike documents and licenses r) pls. bring along personal items such as torches, rain and dust gear, medicines, essential toiletries, etc... s) MPR has also more or less finalized the charity recipients from merak along with our humble lodgings :) final meeting of all participants will be held on 18th april coinciding with the inauguration of our new club house at 5pm!! place is at gangjungs driving school premises at joshina, thimphu... lastly, RC Rider (peter) will be in thimphu on the 15th of april and would like to meet all dragons that r free for a drink to celebrate his birthday!! the club will also be initiating Mr. Christoph Thiede as an honorary member of the German chapter then.......time 5:30 pm at hotel phuntshopelri this is definitely the largest group till date with many new riders joining us plus riders from England, Australia, Switzerland, Germany and India!!!!!!!!!! should be an unforgettable ride for all the right reasons:))) pale rider love to ride - ride to love
