dear freinds and family, as many of you know I work with seniors mostly as my career, many of them tell their family not to get them anything because they have everything, so here are some better choices than yet another bad sweater; gift card to favorite hair dresser, or movie theater, bottle of their favorite wine, coupons for things they cant do anymore but might not want to ask you to do around their house. when you visit them mute your phone and pay attention to them for a change.do things they cant do while youre visiting-you dont have to fill every minute of your time while youre there, but clean their fridge, vaccum, straighten up garage, run the snow blower or the swiffer extendable. for those seniors who didnt retire with a small fortune, a box of pantry staples such as tuna, soup, flavored teas, crackers, canned goods, coffee, pepperidge farm cookies etc wont embarrass them but actually make winter a little easier. theyll think of you every time they pour a cup of coffee or campbells pasta fagioli. not on my high horse just some suggestions.
