#donteverbetooafraidtotellyourkidhishamsterdied so last night Jimmys best friend a fat old hamster got out of his cage and played with our sweet burger so much that he passed away- I found him half in and half out of a tube hole in his cage at 7am- Awesome genius parents that we are decided to lie to the kid and hide the hamster say he must be out playing well find him so after sneaking cage out of room- hiding dead hamster I wake up kids and John immediately yells _Jimmy your hamster is dead Me like que have you been fake sleeping kid? say in perfectly calm mom voice why would you say that John? Sketch is fine- he answers well I got up to go potty and found him on the floor burger was licking him and he wasnt moving so I tried to put him back in the cage but he wouldnt fit Hmmmm very interesting?? My mom instincts that should gave said why the hell did this boy not wake me when he found a dead hamster in the night were not in full effect yet bc Im blaming it on lack of coffee- So I of course told him he must be confused sweet sketch must be perfectly fine hiding somewhere and got the kids off to school- skip to 4pm- Kids home I have a nice new replica Sketch in the cage and a beautiful story of how I found sketch injured and took him to the vet he was found shaken but survived so he is stressed out etc etc.... Now Jimmy notices sketch is much skinnier and not as calm and he even got bit- Sketch never bit anyone- he is convinced the vet sent home the wrong hamster like some sad Hamsters switched in the hospital story and wants me to go back and demand that they find sketch or sue them... Now what is a white lie telling mom to do? I think Im going to call my vet and ask them to swear its the same hamster just under stress. #whiteliesalwayssnowballoutofcontrollmomlifeisrough
