earlytimes.in/newsdet.aspx?q=137188 Women dismiss BJP Vision Document as “fraud” 11/30/2014 11:40:45 PM Masood Malik Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: The BJP vision document, which was released on Thursday, has disappointed many among its own cadres and other sections of society. The reason is that the BJP has abandoned its ideology to appreciate the separatist sentiments in Kashmir. BJP is the only party which has not released its manifesto despite the fact that it was prepared and printed long time back. All other parties - NC, PDP, Congress and JKNPP - have all released their manifestos and all of them have talked about Article 370. The NC has talked about autonomy, Kashmir issue and AFSPA. The PDP has talked about self-rule, states special status and Article 370 and Kashmir issue. The Congress has also talked about the states special status. The JKNPP has talked about the states reorganization and Article 370. The BJP is the only party which has not referred to the problems of militancy and separatist Movement in Kashmir, and not raised a single political issue concerning J&K in its manifesto. It is also the only party which has not said a single word on army and AFSPA. It has made only vague promises and disappointed not only STs, SCs, OBCs and refugees from West Pakistan, but also women. The vision document of BJP said that the party will give 33 pc reservation to women in Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council. It is a false promise. It has no place for women in its scheme of things. The BJP, like the Congress and the NC, has hardly given mandate to any woman. The position this time round is also not different. It has given mandate to outsiders and not to a single woman candidate of the party. There are many women activists in BJP, who also hold important positions in the party, but the male-dominated party has given mandate to only two women candidates in Kashmir. One is Hina Bhat, who had threatened to pick up gun and become militant in case BJP abrogated Article 370. She has been given mandate from Amira Kadal Constituency. The other is Darkhshan Andrabi who has been given mandate from Sonawar constituency. Hina and Andrabi joined BJP only recently and the party gave them preferential treatment. Nobody would believe in BJP that has ignored the claims of genuine women activists in Jammu. The point is that many women activists in the party have described the promise of 33 per cent representation in the state legislature as a fraud. .......................................................................................................... After joining hands with Sajjd Lone and deleting revocation of Article 370 from its agenda...BJP is taking people of Jammu for a ride........ dailyexcelsior/bjp-install-cm-jammu-region-voted-power-irani/ BJP to install CM from Jammu region if voted to power: Irani REASI, Nov 30: Seeking vote for her party in the Assembly elections to give it an absolute majority, Human Resource and Development Minister Smriti Irani today promised that if voted to power the BJP will install the Chief Minister from Jammu region. Addressing election rallies here and at Ramnagar in Udhampur district to seek vote for party candidates, Ajay Nanda and R S Pathania respectively, Mrs Irani said that if voted to power BJP will install the Chief Minister from Jammu region. Taking a dig at successive State Governments for neglecting State in the developmental sphere despite getting thousands of crores of rupees from Centre, she said that the condition of roads is worst and people are facing multiple problems in the State. The Union Minister assured people that if BJP is voted to power, it will ensure massive development in the State and the developmental works which the successive State Governments could not undertake during last over 40 years will be undertaken in five years. The BJP Government, besides infrastructure building will pay full attention in promotion of Tourism Trade and Industry in the State to make it an industrial hub. While, highlighting the works done in last six months by Union Government led by Narendra Modi, she said that prices have been stabilized to a great extent and many new and public welfare schemes and projects have been taken up in hand. She appealed the people of both Ramnagar and Reasi constituencies to make their contribution in making BJP’s Mission 44+ a success. Making a scathing attack on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, she said the CM went into hibernation for complete five days when floods created a havoc in the State during first week of September and it was the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who visited State next day to take stock of the situation and supervise rescue and relief measures. Accusing the NC, PDP of looting the State, she appealed the people not to support the dynastic parties. Mrs Irani said all these three parties looted the State and country over the years and BJP will not let it happen now. Without referring to BJP rival candidate who is contesting elections as an independent in Reasi Assembly segment, she said independents have no value in comparison to political parties. Mrs Irani also said the problems of Baridars will be settled as promised by Prime Minister himself during the poll rally at Udhampur on November 28. At Ramnagar she without making any reference to NPP said that the role of small parties is over now and people should vote for largest party to make nation strong. While making a pointed reference to opening of degree colleges at Majalta and Basantgarh besides uplifting of schools she said that the demands have been noted down by her but she can’t make any announcement during the elections in this regard. On the demand of BJP candidate Ajay Nanda regarding opening of Central University in Reasi, she said the demands will be looked into and she can’t make any promise during the elections in this regard. BJP leaders Col (retd) Uttam Singh, party secretary and candidate from Kishtwar Sunil Sharma and Ajay Nanda also addressed the rally at Reasi while Ramnagar rally besides Mrs Irani was also addressed by Party candidate R S Pathania
