et me tell you about the Power of Food... I once posted a poem about Fibromyalgia...it was a cry for help. Its a hard diagnosis to except. Have you seen the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead? If not, I would watch it. Its focus is the power of food. Last year in June I was hit with debilitating burning nerve pain in my arms, legs and face. I was catching myself falling asleep during work, not able to focus on my computer screen. I was convinced I was dying...not sure what it was, but sure... Thousands of dollars worth of medical bills, and nothing...no answers. Finally...I knew, Fibromyalgia...its a bitter sweet diagnosis. At first I thought, Ok...Im not dying, I can do this! Then...everything I tried (medications) didnt work. Pain meds didnt touch it. What can I do? I read a lot about the condition. I need to take matters into my own hands I say. Food=You What you put in can effect how you feel/and how you heal. I read multiple stories on how people were cured by food. Cancer, fibro, Diabetes, Infertility, Migraines...yada yada yada. I will beat this! Im too young, I have kids to raise! I started by cutting gluten...then 3 day Doctor Oz detox that consisted of juicing (huge advocate) or smoothies. After about three days, I felt pretty good! This is working! Then...my body relapsed, burning pain...concentrated in my arms and face and a horrible migraine. Should I keep going? Yes! The pain came back for about 5 days. I kept cutting gluten, refined sugars...and most night shade vegetables (google it). Today is February 1st. I am pain free! Im awake, I can focus, Im not on fire! I feel...for the most part, normal. Im not saying that gluten and refined sugars is why I have Fibromyalgia, I will suffer with it forever! What Im saying is...we can control how we feel, by what we put in our bodies! Im living proof! Please, if you suffer...try looking at what youre eating. It could be the cure..
