even buddy rogers played some polo..buddy announcing on the polo field, his marriage to one of the most famous women in the world mary pickford. they had their own polo field at pickfair. Im sure will rogers hal roach darryl zanuck and AIKEN NATIVE tommy hitchcock were close by … they used to gather at pickfair to play polo and than go to the beverly hills hotel to drink where they named the polo lounge after Tommy Hitchcock … which is where buddy rogers discovered me my first day in LA upon my arrival from Aiken, and he brought me to pickfair ..
