【event info / english】 Hi everyone, long time no update - sorry guys!! I have been in the Philippines with a bunch of University students and Food for the Hungry Philippines the last week or so making cement (by hand of course!) and being involved with the work they are doing in an area called Towerville just out of Manila. So, I cant believe its been a month since our first movie night! And what that means is that ... Friday night this week is our second movie night!! Were planning on watching the movie The Impossible which is based on a true story of an American family who experienced the Tsunami in Thailand the day after Christmas in 2004. This month marks three years since the Eastern Japan Earthquake Disaster and only four months since Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines last November... and who felt the earthquake in Hiroshima last Friday? Kind of scary, but a good reminder that we need to seriously engage with the topic of natural disasters and emergency relief these days. So, come join us this Friday night if you have time! We will have a discussion time at the end of the movie and Emma will share a little about the relief situation in the Philippines at the moment.
