fallongathering The Fallon Gathering 2013 is an event which hopes to reunite the entire Fallon diaspora residing both in Ireland and throughout the world. PROGRAMME OF ACTIVITY Friday 27/09/13 Meet & Greet Evening in Hodson Bay Hotel including Fallon Clan Gathering overview & Complementary Whiskey Tasting 8.00pm €6 Saturday 28/09/13 10.30am Fallon gathering Summer School Dysart Community Center with Presentations on the Fallon Castle of Milltown, Cloonagh House (residence of Rev.James Fallon Bishop of Elphin (1756 to 1786)) and the ancient cemetery resting place of many Fallon Families. 12.30pm light refreshments provided followed by a tour of the sites mentioned above departing a 1.00pm. 2.30pm Visit to Derryglad Folk Museum 8.00pm Mulled Wine reception followed by Fallon Clan Banquet in the Abbey Hotel Roscommon Sunday 29/09/13 Optional recommended visits: Boat trip from Hodson Bay to Athlone to see the town before returning by boat Visit the traditional horse fair in Ballinasloe Tour of Rinn Duinn, ancient walled town, & St. John’s loop walk through the woods Visit Drum Heritage Centre and learn about your past heritage Tour Clonmacnoise monastic site & Shannonbridge fortifications Visit the county town of Roscommon and see its ancient castle & abbey (All visits are outdoors so suitable clothing and footwear is necessary) for more see fallongathering/events.html
