finalist3 Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup NW Finals PROFILE: JM LEKGETHA SECONDARY SCHOOL DISTRICT CHAMPIONS OF 2014 NGAKA MODIRI MOLEMA SKM Profile: JM Lekgetha Commercial High school JM Lekgetha high school is situated in Boikhutso Location known as Phola in Lichtenburg in the Ditsobotla municipality. Achievements The team has not achieved much but we believe qualifying for the provincial play offs is the beginning of more to be achieved. The highest level that the team reached before was the district level after qualifying at the cluster level. The following players were selected in the district trails for North West Province squad u/17 and u/19 respectively. The players are Makhubalo “Mos” Moshe, Moruri “Mayoyo” Koketso our captain, Mogotlhe “Tampo” Olebogeng and Kgoso “Maloada” Malebo. Only Mos and Maloada made it in the u17 and u19 squads which represented the province in the national tournaments which were held in 2014. These players are part of local team which participated in SAFA SAB regional league play offs. Mos is the youngest player in the team aged 16. So as the team we believe in these words “never give up”. Challenges The school does not have any sports ground. This poses very serious challenges because the team is forced to use the grounds in the location because when they are occupied the school cannot use them. The team sometimes find itself going to some of the games without preparing properly. This has not stopped the team from participating because we believe the challenges that we come across are building us to be stronger and stay united. Despite these challenges the team is intending to leave a mark in the North West Province by defeating all the teams that will be taking part in the provincial play offs and looking forward to the national teams. The Coach Ms Jakobo “Jacky” - is an Accounting and Technology teacher at her school. She is very passionate about her team and has got a mad love for it. She has started with the team in 2012. She has a very good relationship with her players, as others are playing in the same team with her. She spends a lot of hours in football and she also believes in these words “never give up”.
