finally got to watch Atlas Shrugged parts 1 and 2 on dvd. Dont know why the actors were different in each installment (and are in the 3rd as well) but I thought the actors in part 2 much better captured the characters they portrayed than those in the 1st. Also preferred the directing and production of the 2nd one. It was chilling to watch because so much of the anti-capitalist government-knows-best dystopia depicted in the book and film are in many ways playing out right now in our country. Opportunistic pro-government lobbyists, sanctimonious politicians, and busybody bureaucrats demonizing the successful, stoking envy and resentment in the public (can you say occupy wall street?). Government agencies, courts, and the president himself passing laws punishing the successful for the sake of the common good but only making things far worse for everyone. Its no coincidence these movies were produced during the Obama era. Freaking scary. If you havent yet, go watch these movies!
