#flipagram #SundayCircle headline speaker this afternoon is not yet 30 years old, Zibusiso Mkhwanazi @ZibusisoSays is something of a phenomenon in the South African ICT sector. At age 17 he co-founded his first web design company with start-up capital of just R2 000. His clients included Deloitte and stockbrokers Barnard Jacobs Mellett. In 2006, Csonke merged with KrazyBoyz to form KrazyBoyz Holdings, the biggest black-owned new media marketing agency in South Africa. Mkhwanazi is the executive chairman of the company, now known as Avatar Digital, which lists clients such as the Development Bank of Southern Africa, the City of Tshwane, Nepad, the Pan-African Parliament & SAA. In 2007, aged 23, he scooped the BBQ Young Business Achiever Award and in 2008 walked off with the award for Top ICT Young Entrepreneur in Africa at the 10th annual African Achievers awards. While still at school he obtained a certificate in PC support, and after matric he completed a diploma in information technology at Johannesburg University. Not neglecting his corporate social investment responsibilities, Mkhwanazi founded the Mkhwanazi Academy for Christian Entrepreneurship on Gauteng’s East Rand in 2009. This non-profit organisation, where he serves as rector, offers a comprehensive business programme to disadvantaged young entrepreneurs between 18 and 35 years of age. Mkhwanazi plans to open other such institutions around South Africa, and get the country’s entrepreneurial spirit flowing. 1pm - 5pm Cantare MonteCasino R150 at the door.
