folks! by virtue of my position,I Hv been a little quiet politically for Smtx now. But the allegation of BNI invitation of Chairman Wontumi -NPP Ashanti Regional chairman has prompted me to bring this up for discussion! What is Demonstration? Simply put Its an Act,process or means of a public show of feeling or opinion,as by a mass meeting or parade to CAUSE a change. And in democratic governance it is constitutional! Lessons From Wontumi Assertion : 1) How do you pilot a program in the most densely populated region of a country? 2) Does the situation in Ghana merit a demonstration now like Arab Spring Style? Now lets call a Spade a Spade and not a Big Spoon ! The NHIA Capitation in Ashanti Region is an attempt by the NDC govt to send people in the Region which is the base of the opposition to their early grave like Wontumi asserted. And the usage of Arab Spring demo style in Ghana is just a phrase he used to drum home his point, and this is not an Attempt to Militarily overthrow a government. Government have a choice in any demonstration to; 1) Listen to its people concern and initiate a Change 2) Be adamant and the people Will still be on the street which Will attention and make govt unpopular. 3) Insensitive govt Will send Armed police and Military personnel to disperse the people instead of negotiation ; the result is riot which we ALL dont want for mother Ghana. In anycase the present situation in Ghana calls for a demonstration like the Arab Spring ; and this Will let Govt change course or the people Will be in the street. - Now what do we see in Ghana NOW? 1. Increase public debt. 2. increase unemployment among the youth. 3. massive ongoing corruption 4.higher cost of living 5.poorer standard of living 6.serious economic crisis The youth must ALL wake up to speak against this and say Yeah to freedom of speech! ! Ghana belongs to US ALL
