for anyone on here who isnt on co-op chat! Im pasted the email I just sent out. Hi co-opers. Ive been talking about wanting to do this for a while now but been too busy/scared to follow through. No more! Im looking to find a couple people to sing with me this year. Im interested in a group of maybe three or four people who sing in a soprano/altoish register to start out with covers of songs like River Song by Mountain Man (check it out here- song actually starts at 0:58 https://youtube/watch?v=ekCZdmnXokY) and Fleet Foxes Blue Ridge Mountains: https://youtube/watch?v=t1tbX_NJn98 I also want to work with our own stuff- poems we love to read/have written/friends have written. Im interested in how written words can transform into song. Wouldnt be instrument-heavy. Mostly voice and maybe some foot-thumping. But also open to anything, these are just my initial ideas. Really I just miss singing and the feeling of connection and beauty it brings to a community. Also want to build support/solidarity for our female-identifying community.
