for the sake of relevance to the forum, swap my T4 and t2 bay panel van for a t5, or just my bay panel van, heres the spec SWAP FOR T5 ideally facelift panel all boarded out or older t5 with camper interior but will consider all. 1979 t2 bay window panel van, very clean u.k rhd 1 key does all locks. Mechanically mint and body work is very clean and rot free too. Very tidy remarkable example, not your usual rat van, im not saying its concourse or a show winner but very clean. In the last 12 months its had the following Clutch Main seal (behind flywheel) Gearbox input shaft seal Gear box oil change Discs and pads Push rod tubes with seals Battery (Bosch) Accelerator cable Full rear brake rebuild (cylinders, adjusters shoes drums) Barrels pistons and rings (1600 mahl) Full service Sump filter housing hellicoiled Dizzy cap Rotor arm Points Brake return spring Fuel pump and lines Brake fluid dropped and refreshed bled up with dot 4 Full engine seal kit Carbs tuned properly Gear shift overhauled, no play in gear stick hand brake adjusted last month The van in my opinion is one of the better ones on the market, very clean and straight, solid underneath NO patch work welding anywhere, Went through a full restore a few years back including sills, door legs, full sides, arches so nice solid clean metal, not fiberglass and filler. All window rubbers and seals are in good order, no leaks dent free roof, splitty front badge, weedeater adjustable beam only 8 months old, empi 5 spokes in very good nic with maxis tyres all good tread no cracks, mot march 15 tax till jan 15 lots of old mots, nice original panel van. Engine is a 1600 twin port twin carb webbers, alternator not dynamo, oil return breather flamer kit brand new exhaust done a week ago. I could go on all day about this van. All doors line up and shut plush not sticking out etc. As i say wouldnt mind a facelift t5.
