#fowmegacities #interview - #FoodWaste In the meantime in Shangai Daniele met Harry Brogden and Micheil Gordon from the University of Brighton that are collaborating with a research group from Fudan University. They are focusing their research on the evaluation of the Food Waste Recycling Program that has been implemented in 2011 by the Municipality of Shanghai. Harry and Micheil point out some of the facts that can lead to the success of such a large scale program. There is a clear need for a facilitator that can fill the gap between the government, the local authorities and the local communities. NGOs managed it by recruiting local volunteers that are part of the local communities. Stay tuned for more news from Shangai !
