from Love Light: The Badass Teachers Association wishes to express sympathy for the people of Ferguson and the surrounding area. As the people of that area work to restore peace and hopefully rebuild a sense of community, we remain deeply concerned about the well being of the children not only in Ferguson but also across the nation who must process what this means. We will continue to fight for quality schools, quality teachers, and the instructional spaces that will allow them to have those dialogues and express themselves in a wide variety of pursuits including music and the arts. Our children deserve our deepest commitment to peace and justice. We will highlight and challenge injustice in any way that it impacts our youth.
