from: Purely Kendra Apothecary Fan Q: Is TerraShield safe for pets? A: TerraShield is safe for Dogs, although you want to dilute it. You can soak a collar in the oil for them to wear, put a couple drops directly on their spine, or dilute it in a spray bottle and spray it on their fur. You can also spray it around your dogs area like blankets or dog house. Using oils on Cats is trickier, most oils, especially pine oils and citrus oils, are toxic to cats. Lavender, Serenity and OnGuard can be safely used on cats. With any pet, always use the smallest amount until you are sure how your pet will react. Its a good idea to let your pet smell the oil you want to use on them, as their reaction is a good indicator of whether or not that oil will work for them. Avoid putting oil near your pets eyes and nose, as they are more sensitive to scents than we are. FYI, here is a video clip of Caesar Millan (The Dog Whisperer) using doTERRAs Serenity oil to help treat an anxious dog.
