One of the greatest achievement in making a film is to know how to select your cast, you must know what the script demands, this has nothing to do with friendship or favoritism, as the casting manager, you have to be very strict. Its not come first, first served but knowing what you want. Kenya films luck right people in for the job, and this has result to half baked productions. Our senior actors are not full-time in film making, they are busy making their ends meet in other engagements of national building, this has contributed to the slow in serious production around here. No one is willing to buy a poorly done film with faces that dont look like film! Producers should not be calling for Auditions, production firms should be knowing able people for the job, you cannot write a script without having people on mind for the job, you cannot depend on the audition call. Every actor and actress can feature anywhere in the film depending with your script, but not every actor or actress can be the lead character in every script.
