good Wednesday evening. hope all my face book friends are doing well. we went to Columbia today to see pulmonary specialist. had my trach changed and had several questions to ask. we discussed a lung transplant. he said I was not a good candidate since my lungs are so bad. he said that when someone has a lung transplant you usually live 5 years. he said lung transplants was worse than having a heart transplant. also with my other health problems a pulmonary surgeon would not do a transplant. I am now coughing up and suctioning bright red blood. he is going to schedule me for a bronchoscopy next month. I had a chest xray done also. wanted to discuss the lap band surgery with him but he had an emergency in the ICU. I was crying when he came in to see me. he ask me why I was so stressed out. I told him I wasnt getting any better and I didnt see any point coming down every month to see him to have my trach changed. he ask me if I was wanting to give up and I told him yes. he told me that if we re-moved the trach I wouldnt be able to breathe. he is suppose to call me tomorrow and discuss other possibilities. it was a long day. we left at 7AM and got home at 5PM. I am totally exhausted because I cant sleep, breathe, and have pain. may you all have a great evening. God Bless.
