good evening friends around the world! it is saturday evening and rest we must...as we finally end the day, let us reflect on mans insatiable desire...in an article written by a jesuit priest (this was still years back so forgive me for my fading memory) called the infinite horizon(???), it tells us that mans search to be satisfied and contented is unending...just like the horizon, we paddle madly towards it but only to find out that when we reach a certain point, the horizon stretches more...and seems unreachable! this is also like buying shirts or anything that we like, but at the back of our mind, we know that we will be buying more in the future because the shirt or shoes we like now, loses its appeal to us sooner or later...that favorite stuff gets passe and we want to buy another one...fashion, music, food, ambition-- even relationships - - -they never satisfy us...and so the author wraps it up that these seemingly elusive insatiability will only be quenched when our hearts is with God...we will only be at peace and contented when we set our desires to what is heavenly...and the author ends the article using the words of st. agustin- - -my heart is restless, until it rests in Thee....with this short reflection friends, i bid u all a good night....
