good morning and good luck finally they got it. i wrote it already. when i saw and listened the guys of Aufbau West for the first time, (that was almost two years ago during the pop camp) i was really impressed. but i lost contact for a long time. and now im once again impressed, because the boys worked for months very disciplined on their debut album. supported by a loyal fan community. which consists mostly of young girls. but: AUFBAU WEST is indeed a band of boys, but not a boyband. and one can listen it. the music and sound of AUFBAU WEST is not that kind of clean and overproduced style, although its also not a dirty sound. yes, it is in essence as yet a sound for the taste of female teenagers. but: what kind of future potential is existing in this band one can listen for example with the song Von Hellersdorf bis Rotterdam (my favorite of the album), Deine Mutter (Du Armer) or Lindenstraße & Cardigans. because in this songs lights up one of the real and major qualities of the band, their lyrics. they spend time to develop their lyrics, because they know, that even a catchy melody is nothing without the secret soul of any good song, a good lyric. so, it seems to me, it was good for the band to take a long time for producing this debut album. CONGRATULATION GUYS! the album ZWEITBESTER is released precisely today! and if anybody wonder about the guy on the coverphoto, moment, i know this guy. yes, right, its him. i say only: Dear parents, be brave. Name your boys Waldemar! :-) keep it up guys! and for you others a nice friday and start in a nice weekend! love andreas
