good morning neighbors, we have been away for a few days, having time to put up a thought that the Lord puts on my heart and than fading into the computer sunset :o) - many times I will be driving and the Lord will start sharing with me verses and as the song goes, the word of God speaks. This came to me as I was driving last night as we heard this scripture on the radio= Pro 16:32 Patience is better than power, and controlling ones temper, than capturing a city. -power in the tongue - Jas 3:2 for we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a mature man who is also able to control his whole body. Jas 3:3 Now when we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we also guide the whole animal. Jas 3:4 And consider ships: though very large and driven by fierce winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. Jas 3:5 So too, though the tongue is a small part of the body, it boasts great things. Consider how large a forest a small fire ignites. Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among the parts of our bodies; it pollutes the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is set on fire by hell. Jas 3:7 For every creature--animal or bird, reptile or fish--is tamed and has been tamed by man, Jas 3:8 but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. Jas 3:9 With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men who are made in Gods likeness. Jas 3:10 Out of the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things should not be this way. -many people in the body of Christ dont realize how much power they have in what they speak forth. The Apostle Paul is taught through the Spirit when he talks about in Ephesians-Eph 6:10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. Eph 6:12 For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. Eph 6:13 This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Eph 6:14 Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, Eph 6:15 and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. Eph 6:16 In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. Eph 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Gods word. Eph 6:18 With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints. Eph 6:19 Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. -the things we say and how we perceive them in our mind and how satan can twist the truth of the whole matter is were the actually battle is. Strongholds are emotions which can manifest when we see something with our physical eye, we process it and the enemy can say-for example = you see my green light on in face book, and the thought comes to one that says, hey, this guy must be on his computer(but through out the day, he is not)-so you say hi, or you think I am deep into a conversation with someone, and maybe Im ignoring you, and anger sets in, a lie from satan can come in and say, well, he is ignoring me. Bitterness sets in, a hard heart develops, and than you lose interest in the friendship, Im exaggerating a bit, but this is what causes war, this is what can cause division(satan has a name called diablo, which means division). Divorces, jealousy, anger, fighting, hitting...these things can occur, and they come from half truths, some instances are from learned behavior. another example, Someone is talking to your husband or wife, and you see them and they are laughing and you think in your mind that there flirting, you get angry and in a rage you try to control ( Pro 16:32 Patience is better than power, and controlling ones temper, than capturing a city. ) the situation with force, instead of praying together in a loving way to work things out(which is the biblical loving godly way to do things).......Usually when your young in your walk the best thing you can do is work with elders of a church(same gender, 55 % of christians end up in divorce, so you can see how serious it is to seek God for all your help in your relationships and friendships, work, job, recreation time, even with the friends you hang with, being unequally yoked can pull you off course big time.....that is why it is so important to pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus, if you can do this and work on the first greatest commandment in which is loving Father God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind, and pray all the time for anything and everything in Jesus name, great shall be your peace......your on your way amen....we will add on to this because the part of the tongue is the subject, speak forth life in Jesus name, pray victory over your problems, pray healing over your relationships, dont let satan come in and steal anything, he is a murderer from the beginning and wants nothing more that to cause pain, and havoc, have a blessed day neighbors, and if your struggling with swearing, hand it over to Jesus, when I was in my early twentys i had problems with the f bomb, but the Lord has tamed my tongue, still perceive things wrong sometimes, but, Jesus is on it if you allow Him to be the head of your body, in love, in Jesus name, amen.....please send feed back and we welcome dearly your prayers, pray for me as we pray over this exhortation in Jesus name...
